What Club TUKI Kids are Thankful For!
First of all, we want to apologize for the delay in getting the results posted, however; Today seems to be the perfect day to mention what grateful hearts some kids have. At Christmas time it seems we get all caught up in what we want but kids that are thankful too. We have thousands of kids on http://www.ClubTUKI.com and over the Thanksgiving Holiday we ran an essay contest to see what kids were thankful for.
We had about a thousand responses, which was quite overwhelming and of those about 375 were qualified entries. It was very difficult to choose a winner but we all voted and below are the top three winners. It is very interesting to read the essays, and very heartwarming to know that so many kids are very grateful for exactly what they have, even when some of them seemingly have so little.
First PLACE:

I am thankful for my parents who are always there for me, and make me feel better in tough situations. Also, my best friends, Maddelyn and Haley because they always tell me to raise my self-esteem. I am thankful for my volleyball coach who is also my hero because she teaches me different techniques and treats me like her daughter. I am thankful for my dogs who can turn a bad day into a good one. My aunt is the person I am mostly thankful for because if I know my mom won’t understand she is my second resource to let out my feelings.

1. I am thankful for my teachers, because they help me learn.
2. I am thankful for my parents, because they take good care of me and they love me.
3. I am thankful for my dog brownie because he does tricks.
4. I am very thankful I can sing I love to make noises.
5. I am thankful for my brothers they teach me alot of good stuff.

To tell you the truth, I am thankful for the opportunity to be alive. God handpicked each and everyone of us to be in the family we are in right now, and I am so thankful that God wanted for me to be in mine. I am thankful for the food I eat, the bed I sleep in, my family, and my strong faith. I am thankful for countless things, and there is no way I will be able to do it in 5 sentences…thank YOU!
Congratulations to our winners and we hope you will join with us in applauding all the entries. We all have something to be thankful for and these kids remind us of how important the little things are.
