VeriCam
VeriCam was conceived by Shai Samet (founder of kidSAFE) in 2013 and became the first-of-its-kind patented solution to offer a cutting-edge facial recognition tool that could process age information and/or parental verification in real-time for compliance purposes. The solution was globally scalable, cost-efficient, and easily integratable within any web or mobile application. It was the first selfie-based age estimation mechanism on the market (a popular choice for age assurance technology today) and it uses liveliness and fraud detection to confirm the person trying to gain access to, or obtain parental permission for, a certain feature is a real person. The patent behind VeriCam is owned exclusively by Samet Privacy (the operator of kidSAFE) and is currently available for use by developers, age assurance vendors, and the industry at large through licensure only.
